An honest comparison
Ace Work vs. Zapier
Short version: Zapier is a tool we build in. This page isn't about which is better. It's about the part of the job Zapier was never built to do.
Credit where it's due
Zapier is a very good tool. We use it.
It connects thousands of apps, and when you know exactly what you want automated, it's fast and reliable. If you already run Zapier, keep it. Nothing on this page asks you to rip anything out.
But here's the thing about Zapier. It only knows what you tell it.
Zapier knows your apps. It doesn't know your company.
Zapier can see your Gmail, your Slack, your HubSpot, your Xero. What it can't see is how your company actually works. It doesn't know that invoices over $10K need a second signature. It doesn't know that the client report takes Sarah four hours every month because three of those hours are copying numbers between tabs. It doesn't know which of your workflows are broken, or what they're costing you.
That's not a flaw. Zapier was never meant to know those things. It's a tool. It waits to be told.
So someone has to do the telling. Someone has to know where the time goes, decide what's worth fixing, design the fix, build it, and notice when it breaks. Today, at most companies, that someone is a busy person on your team. Which is why the automations that exist are the ones that annoyed somebody enough to fix them, not the ones costing you the most. And it's why they quietly stop working when that person leaves.
The tool was never the problem. The missing piece is the knowing.
Ace Work is the knowing.
Ace Work maps how your company actually works. Every workflow, who does it, how often, in which tools, and what it costs in time and money. Then it ranks what's worth fixing, so you're not guessing.
Then our forward deployed experts build the fix, in the tools you already own. If Zapier is the right tool for the job, we build in your Zapier. And because the workflow was mapped first, the build isn't a guess about how the work happens. It's how your company actually does it, exceptions and sign-offs included.
Then it runs. Human and AI, together. Workflows we ship are kept current by the people who shipped them, and every run reports what it saved. Nothing lands back on your team's plate.
The comparison people actually mean.

What about price?
An honest answer: if you need one simple automation and someone on your team has the time to build and mind it, Zapier alone is cheaper. Use it.
The real cost isn't the subscription. It's the broken workflows nobody has found yet, and the hours your team spends being the automation department on top of their actual jobs. One of our clients found $1.8M of waste in a single payroll process. No task-based tool finds that, because finding it was never the tool's job.
Ace Work is one flat subscription for the whole company. It doesn't grow with headcount. Every project on your roadmap shows what it costs and what it gives back before you say yes. And the fixes run in tools you already pay for, so there's no new platform to buy.
Fair questions.
No. We build in your Zapier account. The map tells us what to build there.
No. An agency builds what you ask for. Ace Work tells you what to ask for. The map and the roadmap are the product. The building is how the fix gets delivered.
Then you probably don't need us yet. Come back when you want to know what the rest of your workflows are costing you.
Yes. Anything built in your Zapier runs on your Zapier plan. We're not hiding a meter. We'll tell you when a workflow is heavy enough that Zapier isn't the right tool for it.
Yes. Ace Work workflows are certified and executable in the AI assistants your team already uses. Connect Ace Work, and your assistant runs the workflow the way your company actually does it, using the tools you've connected. That's the difference between an assistant that can answer questions and one that can do the work.
See what your work actually costs.
Thirty minutes. We'll map where your team's time goes and what fixing it is worth, before you build or buy anything.
