The agent platforms are impressive, and the category is moving fast.

Give one of these tools a goal, some instructions, and access to your apps, and it will genuinely take actions: triage the inbox, update the CRM, draft the follow-up. This is a real step past trigger-and-action automation, and the demos are honestly great.

The demos are the tell, though. Ask anyone running agents in production what the work was, and they won't talk about the platform. They'll talk about everything around it.

An agent is only as good as its instructions. Who's writing yours?

To build an agent, someone at your company has to describe the job precisely: the steps, the exceptions, the approval over $10K, what to do when the client replies angry, when to stop and ask a human. Fair questions.
